“The Flying Marine,” which opened its Ashburton season last night was shown this afternoon, and will have its final screening to-night. It a active story of the love ofh “ d ff young aviators for one girl. It shows some very clever stunt flying by groups of squadrons and by individuals, of the features of the flying are the looping done simultaneously by about 40 ’planes in V formation, and spec tacular night flying. Excitement, fast action, suspensethese are the thrilling elements which provide superb entertainment for those who see Paramount’s latest gripping, mvstery drama, “The Mysterious Dr. Fu Man chu,” which will be shown on Monday and Tuesday nights. The famous Sax Rohmer story has thrilled millions all over the world in story form and Paramount has incorporated all the tense, emotion-arousing incidents into a never-to-be-forgotten picture with Warner Oland as the cunning, diabolical villain, Dr. Manchu.
