THE MAIL HOLD-UP.
INQUIRIES BY DETECTIVES. TRAIN CREW QUESTIONED. (United Press Association —Copyright.) SYDNEY, April 10: The detectives who are inquiring into the hold-up of the train at Mudgee have formed certain conclusions as the result of which they closely questioned the train crew upon these aspects. They cannot understand why, immediately after the bandits leaped from the train, the emergency brake was not applied, and, further, how the robbers were not injured when jumping from the train which was travelling at least 28 miles an hour. The police have engaged a black tracker at the scene of the hold-uup.
