TECHNICAL SCHOOL.

THE PRINCIPAL'S REPORT. The Principal of the Technical School (Mr R. J. Thompson) submitted his report at the meeting of the Board of Managers this afternoon as follows: Routine school work has been carried out during the month, throughout which the attendance had been excellent. The sSchool had not yet been able to obtain the services of a temporary science master, but it was hoped this would be accomplished in the course of a few days. Miss Aiken had been absent on sick leave for a part of the month, but was progressing favourably and should be ready to commence work next week. In the meantime Miss J. Tennent, from Christchurch, was carrying on Miss Aiken's; duties. Miss M. Coutts, science instructor, had received an appointment at Mosgiel and would be leaving at the end of the term. Her position had been advertised in the "Teachers' Gazette." The school would close for the Easter holidays next Thursday afternoon and would re-open on Wednesday, April 23. . During the Easter holidays the school would be occupied by the Methodist Young Women's Bible Classes on the occasion of the annual camp.
