THE WEATHER.
RETURN TO BRIGHT CONDITIONS. After two days cold, showery weather, conditions improved during last night and bright pleasant weather was experienced to-day. The barometric pressure at 9 o'clock this morni.ug of 29.48 inches showed a drop of over 20 points compared with 3-esterday. The extreme temperatures yesterday were 57 and 47.5 degrees as' against 54.2 and 50.3 on Tuesday. TO-DAY'S FORECAST. The following weather forecast was issued to-day:— Indications are for southerly winds, moderate to- strong, freshening at times. "Weather probably cool and changeable, with occasional showers. Later weather improving. Barometer rising.
