ACCIDENTS & DEATHS.
UNUSUAL FATALITY. (Per Press Association.) WESTPORT, This Day. An unusual fatality occurred in the Denniston Mine this morning, when Mr David Marr, a miner, aged 62, was found dead. It is thought-that deceased was injured on the head and tried to walk out of the mine, but when he, had gone a considerable distance he collapsed and died. There was an. injury on his head when he was found. YOUNG FARM HAND INJURED. PAHIATUA, This Day. A young farm hand, Stanley Beck, was admitted to the public hospital suffering from a fractured leg. He was employed at Hamua discing, when the implement fell on his leg.
