CONCERN OVER THE POSITION.
OTAGO OPPOSITION TO CHANGE. (Per Press Association.) 1 DUNEDIN, This Day. At a meeting of the Otago Officers’ • Club, at which representatives of public bodies were present, it was resolved: “That this meeting views with grave concern the situation in regard to national defence, as reported in the Press, and urges upon the Prime Minister the danger of disruptive action, and the necessity of full investigation and consideration before taking action. In its opinion nothing short of a. Royal Commission, including experts from England, is competent to investigate and report.” ,
