RAILAGE OF WHEAT.

TRUCKS AT METHVEN. The shortage of railway trucks at Methven has, up to> the present, been most acute, and transport lorry companies have been seriously delayed in their efforts to get wheat away. Mr E. Langford (Railway Business Agent) was in Methven on Saturday, and strong representations were made to him concerning the exasperating delays in fulfilling orders for waggons. As a result, 'a special train with a large supply of empties arrived * which will relieve what has been an intolerable position. With the present fine weather .ah early endeavour is being made to shift all wheat that has been stook-thveshed, before the mills start on the stacked wheat, which is now almost ready for threshing.
