ART EXHIBITION.
GOVERNMENT GIVES A BANQUET (United Press Association—Copyright.) LONDON, March 30. The Government last night gave a banquet to those responsible for the success which attended the recentlyconcluded Italian art exhibition, which was visited by over 500,000 people. Lord Parmoor expressed the deep gratitude of the Government and the people of Britain, primarily to the Italian Government and to all others who had made the exhibition possiole. It had brought together works of Italian art, both from private and public sources, chiefly from Itgly, but also from all parts of the world, and the museums of Prance, Germany, Hungary, Holland, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, the United States and Canada generally lent of their best. No fewer than 15 different countries contributed. The Italian Ambassador 'announced that his King and the Government had conferred on Lady Chamberlain (chairman of the JExlnlntion Committee) the Golden Italian Medal. —British Official Wireless.
