PORT OF LONDON.
MOST EXTENSIVE IN WORLD. (United Press Association—Copyright.) LONDON, March 31. The 21st report of the Port of London Authority emphasises the most extensive port in the world, extending 69 miles, including 170 miles of docks and wharves, the docks alone having 723 acres of water, the area of some of which take vessels drawing 37 feet. London’s overseas trade amounts to £700,000,000 annually. More wool is brought there than to any other port in Britain, while 70 per cent, of the meat is handled in London.
