Renewed activity by bandits is reported in the Kwangsi Province. Tai-ping-i'u was sacked, and foreign missionaries ill-treated. Kanohow, in the Kaingse Province, was besieged by a strong armed force of Communists. Anxiety is felt for the safety of an American mission of 10 priests.
