FARMERS' UNION VIEWS. THE MAN OUTSIDE. The Wheat Pool was the subject of a brief discussion by the Mid-Canter-bury Executive of the Farmers' Union this afternoon. Mr W. T. Lill referred to . the troubles of a farmer regarding his connection with the Pool. He said the Pool Avas holding £IOOO of his money, and he could not afford that. ' The president (Mr J. R. Dalton) said the Pool had had a most difficult time, because there was always someone readv to ride on another man's back, in tnis case by holding out of the Pool. He was sure that the men in the Pool next year would be on the box seat. Officers of the Pool were prepared to speak at any centre on the subject. We pride ourselves on being Britishers, but there were some farmers who were holding out and causing the whole trouble.
