HAY DEFEATS BROADFOOT. NAPIER, March 13. Artie Hay (Hastings) to-night, at Hastings, 'wrested the light-heavy-weight championship of New Zealand from Jim Broadfoot (Auckland) after a disappointing fifteen rounds professional contest. Both boxers gave a poor displav and the margin of points was small. Neither showed the class of a New Zealand champion. Hay thus becomes middle, welter and light-weight champion. NEWSPAPER DECISION FOR COOK NEW YORK, March 12. At Youngstown (Ohio) Cook gained a newspaper decision over Christner.
