THE ARMY MEETING. NIGHT FIRING AND BATTLE PRACTICE. TRENTHAM, March 13. The army rifle meeting will conclude on Friday, when the King's medal will he fired for. This is a distinct match, 100 men with the hest aggregate in the championship series being eligible. The ranges are deliberate fire at 600 yds, fire with movement at 600yds to 1000yds, rapid and snapshots at 300yds. A feature »f)f the meeting has been the entire absence of sickness. NEW AUSTRALIAN RECORD. MELBOURNE, March 13. P. A. Pavey won the King's Prize at the Williamstown Rifle Range, creating a new Australian King s Aggregate record with a score of 340. Pavey is a Victorian, as is G. Cartledge, who was second with 338, while F. JSelson, with 334, is a New South Wales representative.
