CHARGE DROPPED.
RAILWAY SMASH AFTERMATH. (United Press Association— Copyright.) SYDNEY, March 13. The Crown law authorities have decided to abandon the trial of Alexander Gollep and Robert Hindmarsh in connection with the Warnmco railway smash. A charge of manslaughter has been withdrawn. At the Coroner's inquiry into the railway accident at Warrimoo on January 27", when the driver and fireman ot a train were killed the evidence showed that the accident was due to the laxity of certain officials, who left the lock off the catch-points, causing the derailment. The Coroner found that Pilotman Robert Hindmarsh and Hagman Alexander Gollen were guilty of culpable negligence, and committed both of them for trial. Thomas Berkley, signalman at'Blaxland, was severely censured.
