OBSTETRICAL APPEAL.
STREET COLLECTION TO-DAY. SALE OF GOODS IX AID OF FUND. A Paddy's Market, street collection and sale of cakes, flowers, sweets and produce, were held to-day by the As 1buiton branch of the New Zealand Obstetrical Societv, being its first practical step in answer to the Dominion appeal tor £23,000 to endow a Chair of Obstetrics at tbe Medical School in Dunedin. Two marcpiees were erected in hast Street, and a wide variety of goods was offered. The aopeal met with a ready i espouse, and a satisfactory clearance was experienced by the stall-holders, who were as follow: Floweis—Mesdamcs C. J. Norton, .). R. Wells, J. Findlay, A. C. Cooper. .Jumble—Mesdamcs J. IS. Laing, E. B Newton, Grigg, and Miss Watt. ejects—Mesdnmes H. S. Bilhhff. R. Calbraith, A. Prentice and R. Kennedy. , CaK-e Mesdames W . Amos and mckard, Misses Murray and Munro. Produce—Mesuames A. Bushed, *\ M. Gabites, E. Ruddock and F. W. Seldon.
