PERSONAL.
A Wellington telegram reports that ii radio message from the Rangitiki, aboard which is Lord Bledisloe (Gover-nor-General-designate of New Zealand) states that the vessel expects to arrive at 2 p.m. on Tuesday. Mr W. Patterson (Town Clerk) left by -the express this morning en route to Fairlie where he will spend his annual vacation. He will be away a fortnight. Mr T. G. A. Harlo (manager of the AshbuTton branch oi" the Union Bank of Australia) has gone to Christchurch for three weeks as sub-manager. His place here is being taken by Mr S. A. Power, of the relieving staff. Mr A. P.. Gourley (treasurer of the Hampstead Football Club) was presented with an oak deck, suitably engraved, by members of the Club at the annual meeting last evening, on the occasion of his recent marriage, as a token of the appreciation of his services. The presentation was made by Mr H. J. Chapman.
