Commenting on the King’s purchase of a collection of Commonwealth stamps from Mr Purvess, of Melbourne, for probably £1.925, the “Daily Telegraph” says: His Majesty is particularly fond of old Australian stamps, while his New Zealand. collection is the most complete in existence.
