TAXATION ON FOOD.
MR BALDWIN’S POLICY. APPROVAL BY MR CHURCHILL.’ (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 10.45 a.m.) LONDON, March 6. Air Winston Oh.urchill has sent a letter to his constituents, as follows: “I always opposed protective taxation on food for the purpose of uniting the Empire, because if it were imposed a single party would be liable for violent reversals lhost dangerous to Imperial concord, apd tlie unity of the Empire would be brought into the whirlpool of party politics instead of being lifted above our domestic quarrels. But Air Baldwin’s course commands my earnest support. It is the only way of effectively advancing Empire economic 01 fiscal unity.”
