THE AERO CLUB.

DECISIONS OF COMMITTEE. The Central Committee of the Canterbury Aero- Club met last evening, Mr J* C. Guinness (vice-president) presiding. It was decided to advertise a contradiction of the statement of certain agents of the “Golden Wings” Art Union, made to vendors of books of tickets, that the Art Union is in aid of the “local” Club. It was pointed out that the Canterbury Aero Club benefited, with others, by the Ayt Union, but the Mid-Canterbury Club did not receive anything from it. The Grounds Committee presented a set of plans for a hangar to be erected on the airport as soon as the necessary permission is received from the County and Borough Councils. The plans were adopted and the Committee was instructed to proceed with the purchase of material and erect the hangar when permission is received. This Committee was also given power to arrange for working bees for clearing the larger of the surface stones from the field and for work on the hangar. Tho Finance Committee presented a report on the finances of the Chib, making special reference to subscriptions outstanding, and after a long discussion it was decided that all present members whose subscriptions or balances of subscriptions are owing, will, upon payment of the amount within one month, be held as financial members till June 30, 1931. It was also agreed that members joining now should be financial till the same date.
