Fress Association.)
CHRISTCHURCH, This Day.
The practice of price-cutting was strongly criticised at the annual conference* of the New Zealand Master Grocers' Federation, in a paper prepared by Mr H. Hopkins, of Nelson, and road by the secretary.
Mr Hopkins's paper likened pricecutters in the grocery trade to the 'J, wage-learner who accepted work at bolow union rates when they worked for wages. They were the sort foiled in the ranks of the "blacklegs."
