AVIATION MATTERS.
THE MINISTER’S POLICY. (Special to the “Guardian.”) MASTERTON, June 10. ' The Hon. T. M. Wi.lford is visiting Masterton to-day on aviation matters. The Department is searching for a landing ground and if it is not found in Masterton, he said, tljpy would search further down the valley. Interviewed, Mr Wilford said: “During my recent travels abroad, I realised how far behind New Zealand was in this important branch of transport. I have been inspecting grounds from Auckland to Invercargill, and nowi we have found our way to Master ton. It took us over three hours by rail from Wellington to Masterton, and' by aeroplane the same journey could he accomplished in half an hour.. If you want people to stay here, it is imperative that aeroplane landing grounds should be provided.”
