FARMERS’ TOUR.
AUSTRALIAN TRIP MOOTED. | PARTY FROM CANTERBURY. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Encouraged by the success of the 14 farmers’ tours he has conducted within the Dominion, Mr F. Pawson (railway business agent for Canterbxiry) has under consideration a proposal to organise a special farmers’ tour from Canterbury to Australia next autumn. None of the details have been worked out, but it is probable that arrangements will be made for the party to consist of 300 excursionists, the itinerary to include visits to the principal cities and important stud farms and sheep stations. It is probable the tourcan be arranged at an inclusive cost to each excursionist of £6O.
