N.S.W. CHAMPIONSHIPS. SYDNEY, June 8. R. H. and B. C. Bettington won the New South Wales amateur State foursomes golf championship. Scores were: R. H. and B. C. Bettington 154, Sturrock and Ap]>erly 156, Fawcett and Whitton 157. The play was generally not of championship class. —Australian Press Association. ASHBURTON DEFEATS METHVEN. The fourth inter-club golf match of the season was played on the Ashburton links during the week-end between the Ashburton and Methven clubs, and resulted in a win for Ashburton by 12 games to 6. ASHBURTON MEDAL MATCH. A medal match was played' by the Ashburton Golf Club in conjunction witn the third round of the Christie and Bonnington trophies on Saturday, and resulted in a tie between C.
