INFANT DROWNED IN WATERRACE. (Per Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, This Day. Raymond Robert Sutherland, aged 22 months, was found drowned in a water-race at Blackball. The child followed his sister to a baker's cart on the roadside, it being dark and raining at the time. The baby was washed down the water-race.
TWO FISHERMEN MISSING. AUCKLAND, This Day. Two Auckland fishermen, Messrs Con Malliores and 1 O. Singer, both aged 45, who were out in their launch Whitu, are reported to be missing. Both are single men. The launch left portion May 9 and has not been heard of since.
