AEROPLANE IN FLAMES
ESCAPE OF FRENCH CREW. ACCIDENT IN ENGLAND. LONDON, May 26. The pilot and mechanic of a French Air Union cargo aeroplane * had - a miraculous escape from death by diving 5000 ft. when their machine took fire in mid-air as tbey were passing Tonbridge. On reaching the ground they managed to jump clear of the cockpit before the flames enveloped the machine.
