SIR AUSTEN CHAMBERLAIN.
WORK ON LEAGUE OF NATIONS, (United Press Association—Copyright ) (Received This Day, 12.45 p.m.) LONDON, June 6. At the opening of the League of Nations Council at Madrid this morning, tributes were paid to ,£ir Austen, Chamberlain.
M. Briand (French Foreign Minister) observed that Sir Austen , Chamberlain was one of the most able and most loyal statesman with whom he had collaborated. Mr Adachi (Japan) spoke in terms of highest appreciation of the loyal co-operation of Sir Austen Chamberlain in the preparation of the report of the Committee of Three on Minorities recently held in London.—British Official Wireless.
