STOLEN AND WRECKED
MOTOR-CAR AT AUCKLAND. (Special to the "Guardian.") AUCKLAND, December 29. Motor-car thieves have been busy during the holiday season. A five-seat-er car was stolen from outside a service station in Elliott Street last night. The Mr A. L. Hammond, was working in the station at the time, and the car lights were switched on. At 9.30 the car was standing outside the door and half-an-hour later it was missing. The car was discovered this morning at the bottom of Mount Eden crater. It appeared as if the thieves had pushed the car over the edge. The vehicle was completely wrecked. Two other cars disappeared last night.
