BRIDE CANCELS WEDDING.
MARRIES THE ENGAGING ONE.
JILTED MAN'S PHILOSOPHY. (United Press Association —Copyright.) (Received This Day, 9.50 a.m.) LONDON, December 30. The "Sunday Chronicle" states that a Bradford tram conductor, Tom Shutt, smiled alluringly on a bride who was en route to a church for the ceremony. The woman, Miss Pearson, immediately disappeared and cancelled the wedding, but reappeared next day as Shutt's bride, being married by special license. The jilted bridegroom took the blow like a hero and wished the couple a happy life. "I could not marry another after 1 had seen Tom's smile," confessed Mis Shutt. She admitted she saw lom once previously, when he also smiled. It was a case of love at first sight.— United Service.
