At the Stadium, Kid Johnson, fea-ther-weight and light-weight bantam of the Orient, made his first appearance and gave Norman Gillespie a terrible battering, using both hands like a threshing machine. He dropped Gillespie for nine in the first round and again dropped his opponent in the second round for six, when the police stopped the contest.
