HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. "The Girl From Chicago," presenting Conrad Nagel and Myrna Loy will be shown to-night and to-morrow night. It recounts the adventures of a well-brought-up girl of the old .South, who leaves her aged father and braves the dangers of a great city to save the life of her brother. "Shooting Irons," featuring Jack Luden, will be shown at the matinee to-morrow and again to-morrow night. The story is based on a war between the city of Los 1 Angeles and the ranchers of Owen's Valley over water rights. Some of the most 'gorgeous scenery of the far west has been "caught" by the camera for this picture.
FIREWORKS DISPLAY. To miss such a display of fireworks as that which is' to be fired at the Domain on New Year's EVe would be foolish as well as disappointing. There will be approximately £BO worth or fireworks used and all these can be seen for ono shilling or by a child for 6d The art of fireworks making has been revolutionised lately by the use of aluminium powder in the. stars and coloured fires and the increase in brilliance due to this modern discovery is truly marvellous, ji gives a vivid light similar to that produced by magnesium and leaves a trail of sparkling fire that must be seen to be realised. This feature will be a dominant note in the display to be held by the Wamoni Fireworks, Ttd., at the Domain on New Year's Eye.
