LABOUR PARTY SUGGESTIONS. (United Press Association—Copyright). (Received This Day, 9.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The La-bour conference carried a * motion bv Mr A. C. Willis (who was vice-president of the Council in the Lang Ministtry) that in order to relieve the parlous conditions of the coal industry the whole of the coal be pooled and that private selling agencies be abolished. The motion suggested that a levy of one shilling per ton on all coal produced be paid into a fund to provide work for unemployed miners. The motion also protested against further mining leases being granted to , private enterprise.—Australian Press Association.
