Stephenson: (former head of the Indiana Ku Klux Klan, now serving a life sentence for the murder of a girl at the rear of the court in a Klan trial) declared that Evans (Imperial Wizard) told him that Negroes had been, burned at the stake in Texas, that one had had his ears cut off and another had heen branded with the letters K.K.K.
