(From Our Own Correspondents). • COLDSTREAM. A farewell social was tendered to Miss K. A. Thompson, teacher at the local school. A presentation was made to Miss Thompson from the residents, consisting of a dinner service, a Doulton tea service, and half a dozen tea spoons. Besides the above a sum of money was collected at the door, with which Miss Thompson will buy a teapot and have it suitably inscribed. Reference to the work of Miss Thompson, both as teacher and as secretary to the library, was made by Messrs D. A. Little, G. M.'Tague, R. Hutton, and Miss' Fulton. Music for dancing was provided'" by Messrs Chapman Bros, and Mr and Mrs D. T. Paterson.
