FINED THREE POUNDS.
TRESPASS ON RACECOURSE. AN OFFENCE AT TIMARU. At the Magistrate's Court this morning, before Messrs W. H. Rundle, J.P., and F. W. Watt, J.P., John Jamieson Eraser, alias John Eraser, was charged with having trespassed on the Timaru racecourse on April 29, 1927, when he was an excluded person. He appeared at the Court yesterday, but was remanded until to-day. Accused pleaded guilty. Senior-Sergeant Martin said that although the offence took place in April, 1927, the warrant had not been issued until last month. As accused could not be traced upon a summons being issued. Accused was fined £3, in default seven days' imprisonment.
