A fire at 3 o’clock this morning in the centre of .Re veil street gutted Stephens Bros.’ tobaconnist and hairdressing, saloon, while a billiard-room at the rear was damaged by water. The contents of the saloon and shop are a total loss. The adjoining premises were not damaged. The insurance on the billiard tables is £l5O, and on the fittings of the saloon £SO, in the South British office. The stock is insured for £SOO in the Royal Exchange. The insurance on the buildings was £l3O in the Victoria and £320 in the National offices.
