Garden (secretary of the Trades and Labour Council) states that there are 20,000 unskilled workers unemployed throughout New South Wales. He says that more unemployment exists now than at any other period since the beginning of the century, and he adds: "One of the factors responsible for the present state of affairs is the unrestricted immigration policy of the Federal Government. Each week', hundreds of migrants arrive from overseas."
