FIRE BREAKS.
DEPARTMENT PAYS HALF COST. PRIVATE OWNERS INCLUDED. In reference to the provision- of fire breaks alongside the railway line in•; i the County, inquiries .show that the Department is prepared to pay half the cost of ploughing a break not less than three feet wide. This offer is open to any owner of land adjoining the railway.
