COLD SNAP IN EUROPE.
SNOW FALLS IN LISBON. (Per Press Association— 'Copyright). LONDON, December 27. Severe cold is reported on the Continent. There were heavy snowfalls throughout Spain, and also in Paris, where the fountains were converted into masses of ice. Many rivers are frozen over. - Snow fell in Lisbon for the first time in SO years. An unusually cold snap was experienced in France, and the Loire was frozen over for the first time since the war. Several deaths occurred from cold in the Loire valley.
