Argentine.—Unsalted 1565-162 s (Is 4-J-d to Is 5Jd); other qualities 140s--163s (Is 4id to Is 5Jd), according to quality. „ , Danish.—l9os-to 192 s (Is 83d to Is Bid). Cheese.

Colonial cheese is quiet. Official quotations are: English.—Finest farmers, unchanged and firm. Canadian.—'Finest coloured 104s-110s (lid to 113 d), white 106&-112s (llid to Is). N.Z.—Coloured 975-99 s (10|d to 10Jd), exceptionod 100 s (lOfd). White, 96s to 97s (10id), exceptional 98s (10id). . Australian.—Coloured 965-98 s (10id to lOi-d). Shipments of New Zealand produce arrived this week per s.s. Ruapehu.

Tallow. Spot market remains quiet, and no change of prices ia reported,. Wool. Sales closed Thursday with a firm tone. Offerings totalled 142,500 bales, of which 119,000 were sold to the Continent, Home trade 48,000 and America 5000. Competition was more widely ristributed than during the previous .series, and there was more confidence in prices at the close. Compared with the last series rates, merino and fin* crossbred 5 pier cent higher, medium and coarse crossbred par. Average closing rates were: 60-64’s (merino) Is od to 2s lb, 50’s (super halfbred) Is 6jd to Is 9d, 48-505 s (fine crossbred) Is 4d to Is sd, 4-1-46’s (medium) 2s 2Jd to to 3LI. 36-40’s (coarse crossbred) Is Hd to Is 2|d.
