MAN BURNED TO DEATH
FIRE AT A FARMHOUSE. CHILDREN RESCUED BY FATHER (Per Press Association.) j INVERCARGILL, This Day. | The farmhouse of Mr Arthur Blondell, at Waimatua, was destroyed by fire this morning. The fire was attended by a fatality, Mr William Henry King, a farm labourer, a single man aged 28, being burned to death. Yes* terday King complained that he was not well, and when called to the milkin cr this morning he answered, but did not get up. Mr Blondell milked several cows and then went toward the house to see what was the matter with King. He found the house ablaze, the fire being fiercest near King's room. Mr Blondell managed to get the children out, but King perished.
