SUDDEN DEATH
FAIRTON RESIDENT EXPIRES. COLLAPSE IN THE COURTHOUSE. While attending to some business in the public office of the Ashburton Magistrate's Courthouse at noon to-day an elderly man named Thomas Harold, a sheep drover, residing at Fairton, suddenly collapsed and. died before medical assistance could be obtained. Mr Harold, who was 65 years of age, and was well known throughout the County, had been in unsound health for some time, and was under treatment in the Ashburton County Hospital, from which institution he was discharged about two months ago. As he had been attended by doctors prior to his collapse, an inquest will not be necessary. Mr Harold leaves a widow and adult family.
