SALE OF WORK
TINWALD PRESBYTERIANS. A very successful sale of work was held in the Tancred Street Hall, yesterday, by the Flemington-Tmwald Presbyterian Church, the proceeds being in aid of the Manse Fund The promoters found their appeal tor goods and produce for sale, meeting with a hearty response; consequently there was a large assortment of articles in the various stalls. There was a good attendance of members and adherents of the church and Ashburton people throughout the day, and the stallholders had a, busy time. Several handsome subscriutions were also handed 1 in. The stallholders were:—Sweets, Misses Sheate, Campbell, Anderson, G-unn, and Deal; produce, Mesdames Gilmour and Deal; plain work, Mesdames Gunn, Campbell, Taylor, and McMillan; cake, Mesdames Watt and Anderson; fancy, Mrs Marshall and Misses Lowery and Taylor; grain, etc., Messrs Oakley and Miller.
