SOUTH CANTERBURY EVENTS. (Per Press Association.) TIMARU, This Day. The South Canterbury Jockey Club's Autumn meeting was continued to-day. In the early morning considerable rain fell, and the outlook was unpromising, but shortly before the first race the weather cleared and! the sun shone out. The track was much easier than yesterday. There is a good attendance. Results:—
Coleridge Hurdles—Petunia 1, Calibration 2, Red Kriss 3. Scr—Grim Joke. Won by a length. Time, 2.51 3-5.
May Stakes—Voute 1, Waikaia 2, Soltoe 3. All started. Won by a short length. Time, 1.4 3-5., Pareara Handicap—Clontarf 1, The Harp 2, Los Ambus 3. Scr: Sun Up, Ayrburn. Won by three lengths. Time, 1.15 1-5.
Autumn Handicap—Mountain Lion 1, Warhaven 2, Gay Juliet 3. Scr: Tarleton Sunny Loch, The Harp. Won by three lengfths. Time, 1.46 2-5. Beaconsfield Welter— Cbch-y-Bondhu 1, Ophir 2, Kilris 3. Scr: Goldspmner, Roekfellow. Won by three lengths. Time, 1.31. AUCKLAND TROTTING CLUB. AUCKLAND, This Day. The Auckland Trotting Club's Autumn meeting was held in fine weather, after light showers. There was a large attendance. Results:—•
Eden Trot—Real Guy 1, Roe Delle 2, Tiki 3. Scr—Lady Stepney, Grand Girl, Sherwood, Surprise, Tod Bells. Won by two lengths. Time, 3.52.
Mangare Handicap—Bawldy Locanda 1 Mt Albert 2, Tannhauser 3. Won by threequarters of a length. Time, 3.34 2-5.
Campbell Handicap—Billy Sea 1, Kohara 2, Jewell 3. Scr: Locanda Mac. Won by half a length. Time, 4.37 2-5.
Easter Handicap— Bicolour 1, Buz Buz 2, Nipper 3. Scr: Battery Bell, Herbelwyn, Marble Hall. Won by two and a-half lengths. Time, 4.54.
Cornwall Handicap—Nelson Fame 1. Florrie Bingen 2, Double Event 3. All started. Won by a head. Time, 2.18 1-5. THE MARLBOROUGH MEETING. BLENHEIM, This Bay. The second day of the Marlborough race meeting was held in fine but threatening weather. Results:— Maiden Handicap—Morning Gift 1, Astonform 2, Water ea 3. Also Don Fisher, Rose Blossom. Won by a neck. Time, 1.16 2-5. Pioneer Handicap—Benmure 1, Misgovern 2, Island 3. All started. Won by threequarters of a length. Time, 1.14 4-5. Flaxbourne Handicap— Kalakaua and Lady Gay (dead heat) 1, The third horse was a head behind the dead heaters. Scr: Stream. Time, 1.47. Waihopai Trot-Countess Eve 1, SarspariUa I Billy Bingen 3 Scr: Ashley Bell. Won by two and a-half lengths. Time, 4.5. .
