THE WEATHER.
CLEARING AFTER RAIN. Thirty-four points of rain fell at Ashburton in the night. The rain eased off about 10 a.m. to-day, and the sky now shows signs of clearing. The barometer stood at 29.65 inches at 9 a.m. The temperature yesterday ranged" fronts 42 to 68 degrees.
