ANGLICANS AT HINDS
MEETING OF PARISHIONERS. The annual meeting of parishioners of Hinds was held in the hall. There was a satisfactory attendance, presided over by the vicar, the Rev. J. Hay. The vicar referred to the attendances at church, which were satisfactory except in one centre. The Sunday School would resume very shortly. The church and vicarage had been painted. He was very grateful to, and thanked, all who had helped in the work of the church.
The following officials were elected: Vicar's churchwarden, Mr C. Jaine; people's churchwarden, Mr J. Cook; vestrymen, Messrs J. M. Hampton, E. W. M. Watson. W. P. Hockley, C. W. Cottam, R. Guinness, W. H. Simmons, T. Yeandle, R, R. Williams, Geo. H. Hampton, and T. Mulligan. The wives of the vestrymen were elected a ladies' committee, together with Misses Bell and Hampton, Mesdames Dell, Davis, C. Hampton, D. T. Paterson, and Musson.
It was decided to hold the sale of produce on May 9. An excellent supper was handed round.
