BABY BURNED TO DEATH.
FIRE DESTROYS FARM HOUSE. 'Per Pre«s AwwrTntiop * NEW PLYMOUTH, April 30. A pathetic fatality occurred near Patea to-day, when the infant daughter of Mr and Mrs Mead, of Lower Ball Road, was burned to death when the house was destroyed by fire. The mother and father were away at the milking-shed at the time, a boy being left in charge of the house. When the boy discovered the fire he could not reach the baby owing to the dense smoke.
