PLAYED WITH BROKEN RIBS
OLDFIELD IN FIFTH TEST.
(Per Press Association—Copyright.) SYDNEY, March 12. It has now been disclosed that W. A. Oldfield played through the last test match with two broken ribs. The damage was caused by a fast one from Gregory in the fourth Test match at Melbourne. Oldfield was advised by a doctor not to play, but he insisted on taking the field.
