HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT

Tire Department of Agriculture lias received the following cabled advice dated March 11 ‘ from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London : Wood sales opened yesterday with large attendance of Home end Continental buyers. Competition was irregular. New Zealand crossbred greasy drew most attention, selection being almost entirely medium and lower grades. Compared with the closing rates of last series merino was 15 per cent., medium crossbred 71 per cent., and coarso crossbred 5 per cent, lower.
