THE PARALYSIS EPIDEMIC.
SECOND LAURISTON CASE. FIRST CASE IMPROVING. A child aged 14 months was admitted to the Ashburton County Hospital this morning from Lauriston, suspected of suffering from infantile paralysis. This is the second case to be brought in from Lauriston, the first being a positive case which has been in the hospital for the past month. The latest case was located in a home a quarter of a mile from the home of the first case, but it is not thought it is a contact, as the period of quarantine expired over two weeks ago. So far the child can only be called a suspect. The first case is reported to be making progress. In the meantime the home of tlie child just admitted to hospital has been isolated.
