BRISBANE GOES ASHORE.

GROUNDS NEAR PORT MORESBY

(Per Press Association—Copyright.) MELBOURNE, July 23. A radio message has been received stating that H.M.A.S-. Brisbane is ashore near Port Moresby. No details are given. SYDNEY, July 23. A Port Moresby message states that the Brisbane, which was on an island cruise with other ships of the Squadron, struck at 9.30 o’clock in the morning’near Bootless Inlet, 20 miles from where the Pruth was wrecked. The naval collier Biloela and the mission steamer John Williams are proceeding to the spot.
